Northeastern Pennsylvania, whose waters are steeped in American angling history, boasts some of the best fly fishing for trout in the world. Take advantage of our prime surroundings with The Lodge at Woodloch's introduction to Fly Fishing Class, Fly Tying Classes, and Private Instruction along with 1/2 and full day trips.
Among the area's trout-filled waters is the Lackawaxen River, an exceptional tail-water fishery and tributary of the Delaware River. The river is stocked during the spring and fall, but many large, wild browns and rainbows make their way into the river, especially during the fall spawn. The river remains cold all summer long due to cold-water releases from Lake Wallenpaupack. The region is also home to the Upper Delaware River, a pristine tailwater fishery treasured by anglers worldwide for its gorgeous surroundings and large wild brown and rainbow trout.
