The Lodge at Woodloch offers a Peaceful, Healthful and Mindful celebration to bring in the New Year
To help celebrate life, love and happiness, The Lodge at Woodloch has created an evening of food, wine and music. Drawing inspirations from the nature that surrounds the secluded property, The Lodge at Woodloch offers a peaceful, healthful and mindful twist to New Years traditions.
Get a head start on your New Year's Resolution, whether it is spending more time with your loved one, preparing more home-cooked meals or celebrating your hobby of cooking more...take advantage of this special Cooking Demonstration Collaboration between Chef Peter Schott and celebrated authors Andrew Dornenburg & Karen Page. Guests will receive wine pairing advice throughout the demonstration and will have an opportunity to discuss Dornenburg & Page's recently released book "The Food Lovers Guide to Wine" winner of the 2011 Gourmand Wine Book Award in the Matching Food and Drink category. Cooking demonstration begins at 3:00 pm and requires advanced reservations.
Dinner reservations are available from 6:00-10:00 pm featuring a special menu crafted by Chef Peter Schott. Menu items will surprise and delight guests with healthy twists to traditional and non-traditional New Years meals such as grilled filet, roasted sea bass, free-range chicken and sesame toasted tofu. A selection of suggested dinner wine pairings will be featured for the evening available by the bottle and glass.
Guests of the community are also welcome to make New Years Eve dinner reservations for a select number of reservations for seatings at 6:00 pm or 9:00 pm. The evening festivities are included and the cost is $100* per person. Dinner will be accompanied by a Violin and Cello duo from the Pennsylvania String Ensemble.
After dinner, the celebration will continue with a complimentary champagne toast and late-evening fare in the Living Room. A specialty cocktail and mocktail has been crafted for the evening, Lavender Champagne using dried lavender harvested from the Healing Garden.
Late evening music selection includes Guitar and Percussionist duo, The Marc Von Em Duo.
The outdoor firepit will be open throughout the evening along with complimentary throw blankets to help stay warm and a holiday hot cocktail list.
