with National Geographic Photographer Raul Touzon

Join photographer Raul Touzon for a visual journey into the art of photography.  Raul is a documentary and underwater photographer who has been regularly published in National Geographic Traveler and The National Geographic Magazine. He is a full time educator who produces and teaches photography workshops around the world, specializing in making images that convey what he refers to as “The Eternity of the Moment.”  Touzon, who has photographed Woodloch in every season, shares his experiences and expertise in color, light and composition through his photographs.

The Lodge is offering, for the first time, two Reserved Photography Workshops.  Each workshop will meet twice for two 4-hour sessions of only 6 guests.  You can book Raul's workshop when you call to make overnight reservations.

1. Photography Workshop One meets on Wednesday, December 1 & Thursday, December 2 at 1 – 5pm
2. Photography Workshop Two meets  on Friday, December 3 & Saturday, December 4 at 1 – 5pm
   
   

Day 1:

Camera Use, Metering, Composition and Working the picture

• Use of digital camera; settings and understanding of basic functions
• Effective metering
• Rules of Composition, and creative use of them
• Working the image

Outside Shoot

Day 2:

Understanding and Managing Light

• Using and Understanding Different Light Sources
• Creative use of flash and remote flash operation.
• Mixing different light sources, including flash

Raul will be offering the opportunity for private guest Photography sessions (one on one) for $200/one hour on:

• Tuesday, November 30, at 1pm, 2:15pm, 3:30pm & 4:45pm
• Wednesday through Sunday mornings, December 1 – 5, at 9am and 10:15am
