Knitting Instructor Jessica Meyrowitz
Jessica Meyrowitz, Knitting Instructor
April 22nd - 24th
Jessica Meyrowitz was taught to knit by her yoga teacher.  The yoga instructor was giving a 4 week course on the basics of knitting - while emphasizing the meditative qualities and mindfulness that knitting provides.  To say that Jessica loved the class is an understatement.  She enjoyed the process of knitting as well as the products that she was making with her newly acquired knitting skills. One day, during an internet search - looking for knitting ideas - Jessica came across the idea of extreme knitting and she was hooked.  Extreme knitting is knitting that is done with large needles and oversized yarn.  Jessica began creating throws for family and friends - using larger needles and her Yummy custom made, oversized, 100% merino wool yarn.  The response to her blankets was so positive that she decided to turn my passion into a business and started It’s a…Yummy. It's a...Yummy believes beauty is in the details.  The quality of the wool, the size and color of the yarn, and the weave of the knit contribute to the uniqueness of the creations.  Additionally, they hand knit all of their products to ensure each piece is a beautiful and usable work of art.  Their philosophy at It’s a…Yummy is simple: Color + Texture = Yummy!!!
