September 3rd - 5th
Brielle Baker is a certified Alchemical Astrologer, Reiki Level 2 practitioner and 200hr Registered Yoga Teacher.  Through yoga, personal development workshops and 1 on 1 sessions, she takes a holistic approach to cutting through the negative BS (belief systems) to live your best life. Brielle's mission is to create a safe space for a community of people to find and align with their highest self. She operates virtually as well as out of her fitness studio in the Lehigh Valley, PA - The Refinery Fitness.

Dive into the basic meaning and uses of crystals and learn how to work with them. Then, enjoy making your very own candle with crystal energy infused within it! Cost is $20 per person.

Jessica Meyrowitz, Knitter and Designer
September 10th - 12th
Jessica Meyrowitz was taught to knit by her yoga teacher.  The yoga instructor was giving a 4 week course on the basics of knitting - while emphasizing the meditative qualities and mindfulness that knitting provides.  To say that Jessica loved the class is an understatement.  She enjoyed the process of knitting as well as the products that she was making with her newly acquired knitting skills. One day, during an internet search - looking for knitting ideas - Jessica came across the idea of extreme knitting and she was hooked.  Extreme knitting is knitting that is done with large needles and oversized yarn.  Jessica began creating throws for family and friends - using larger needles and her Yummy custom made, oversized, 100% merino wool yarn.  The response to her blankets was so positive that she decided to turn my passion into a business and started It’s a…Yummy. It's a...Yummy believes beauty is in the details.  The quality of the wool, the size and color of the yarn, and the weave of the knit contribute to the uniqueness of the creations.  Additionally, they hand knit all of their products to ensure each piece is a beautiful and usable work of art.  Their philosophy at It’s a…Yummy is simple: Color + Texture = Yummy!!!

Come join her and experience the mindful and meditative benefits of knitting!!  As a class participant you will learn how to knit a scarf using It’s a…Yummy’s yarn and oversized needles.  At the end of the hour - you will have learned a skill and will be leaving with your very own creation - a Yummy Mini Scarf!! This class is appropriate for both the novice and experienced knitters. Be creative, socialize, and leave with a new skill and a scarf!! Cost is $30 per person.

Painting dots on rocks, paper, and plastic plates is a very relaxing way of tapping into your creativity. You can create complex patterns, or simple ones. Your creation unfolds one dot at a time. No experience necessary.

Reducing Stress with the Zentangle® Drawing Method: White Pen on Black Tiles ($)

The Zentangle Drawing Method is a structured drawing technique that is fun and simple—as well as a great stress reducer. It doesn’t require artistic experience, so it is accessible to all. The technique looks complicated, but once you learn the steps to draw the “tangles” on paper tiles, you can create beautiful drawings. In this class, you will create a dramatic drawing using a white pen on a black tile. The technique was developed by artists Maria Thomas and Rick Roberts, www.zentangle.com. Cost is $10 per person.

Lorraine Radice, Ph.D., Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) Certified Practitioner

September 24th - 26th
Lorraine Radice, Ph.D., is a Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) Certified Practitioner.  She utilizes the Myers-Briggs personality type preferences in her approaches to leadership and teaching.  She is currently a curriculum director in a school district on Long Island after being a Literacy educator for 10 years.  Dr. Radice is also an associate assistant professor at Hofstra University in the Literacy Studies program.  Dr. Radice has presented her work in the area of literacy at several national and local conferences.  She is a contributing author to the research volume Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment: Intersecting New Needs and New Approaches.  As a lifelong Woodloch guest, she is thrilled to bring her passion of personality awareness to The Lodge and to contribute to the wellness of others.

Companion Creations
Celebrate the life of your pet by immortalizing them with a painted portrait. A wonderful way to honor the bond that only pet owners can understand. You will use multiple mediums including tracing paper, inks, and watercolor paints to create your masterpiece.  You will be asked to email a clear photo to the Spa Concierge prior to the class.   

Geocaching
Explore The Lodge at Woodloch grounds on a high-tech hunt for hidden “treasure” with help from our guides and a GPS. Usually off the beaten path and always a surprise, Geocaching is a fun way to learn about navigation and overland travel. Please wear sturdy shoes as many of the geocaches are hidden off trail.

Handmade Papermaking
Explore the world of papermaking with our Nature Guide. You will learn how to pour and press beautiful and unique handmade sheets, using a variety of recycled and natural materials.

Stretch and Tone
Experience a total body workout that will improve your flexibility and circulation. Stretch to release stress and tension while keeping your muscles long and agile.
