Summer is one of the best times to visit! During this season, when the Earth’s energy is at its height, we encourage you to take full advantage of this time of year.

Set the alarm for sunrise (or don't), splash in the Aqua Garden, listen to live music around our FireCircle Patio, lounge on our Sun Terrace, go paddle boarding, roam with wild deer, and more! Blooms can be found in many of our gardens and throughout our beautiful property. Our natural areas offer ample opportunity to explore unique settings.

Blackmore Farm-to-Table Garden
Come experience the sights, sounds, and tastes of The Lodge at Woodloch’s working organic farm. Just a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel, encompassed by the blue hiking & biking trail, you’ll find attractions such as our vegetable garden, orchard, composting operation, mushroom logs, high tunnels, and our very own apiary.

Our farmers believe in a philosophy of giving back to the environment first before ever receiving its bounty.  They say they feed everything- from the soil’s microbes and earthworms, to the bees and butterflies, all the way up to the birds, deer, and yes, humans too.

Our farmers are always thinking at least a season ahead. As they say goodbye to the cool loving crops of Spring, they say hello to those same characters as they are just being seeded for Autumn harvests.  Meanwhile, all the heat loving crops are feeling right at home in our short but abundant Summer. As difficult as it can be to maintain our quota of salad items, the large hauls of annual and perennial fruits more than make up for a lull of lettuce.

This growing style and the ecology it has helped create is open to you to explore on your own, all day, every day.  Please use proper garden etiquette by sticking to walkways and closing gates behind you and always dress appropriately for the season.
