June 2020:
Creative Arts

When was the last time you colored for fun? Or sat down with some beads and string to make a fun piece of jewelry? For many of us, these crafty hobbies stayed behind in our childhood and rarely make an appearance during our busy adult lives. This June, we are celebrating Creative Arts, and all of the benefits that go along with it. It has been proven that even just coloring in a coloring book can ease stress and anxiety, help achieve mindfulness, and improve sleep and focus (plus a myriad of other benefits). Join us as we delve into the joy and nostalgia of creative arts!

Explore our full schedule of exciting and educational events at The Lodge at Woodloch, featuring inspirational and motivational guest speakers, available to elevate your consciousness and personal awareness.
Full Strawberry Moon

June 5th
Because we take our cues from nature, we have developed a Full Moon Series for 2020. Each month, we will pay homage to the beauty & wonderment that each unique full moon brings.

The relatively short season for harvesting strawberries comes each year during the month of June, so this Moon was christened for the strawberry! This name was universal to every Algonquin tribe. However, in Europe, they called it the Rose Moon.

Full Moon Yoga: This yoga practice will calm the mind and draw your awareness inward. Moon Salutations are useful when energy is high and a tranquil, quiet presence is required. All Levels Welcome.
Outdoor Pen & Ink Drawing: Welcome the Full Strawberry Moon by drawing by the water's edge.  This class is weather permitting and will be moved indoors in case of inclement weather.

Full Moon Kayaking: Paddle under the silvery light of the Full Strawberry Moon.  Discover Little Lake Teedyuskung while listening to the paddles gently glide through the water and looking to the sky. This kayak expedition is a true celestial experience!
