Sara Jimenez is a Certified Sommelier in wine and olive oil, and the owner of Somm In The City, a blog that has evolved into a comprehensive wine and events company. She divides her time between New York and Nashville, hosting wine events and collaborating with restaurants and retail stores to create unforgettable pairings. When not traveling the world to discover new wineries and wines for her retail and restaurant programs, she serves as a Guest Sommelier at The Lodge at Woodloch.

Join our Guest Sommelier for a refreshing and interactive cocktail class set in our beautiful garden! This hands-on experience will teach you how to craft delicious, seasonal cocktails using the freshest summer ingredients. Learn how to elevate your favorite drinks with farm-to- table inspiration, and pick your own garnishes straight from our on-site farmers. We’ll explore creative twists on classic cocktails and even experiment with the unexpected—Extra Virgin Olive Oil in mixology! Sip, shake, and savor as you discover how to bring the best of summer into your glass. Guests must be at least 21 years of age to participate. Cost is $35 per person.

Bubbles & Bites: A Sparkling Wine & Cheese Experience

Experience the magic of sparkling wine with a tasting dedicated to bubbles, cheese, and a sweet surprise! Our Guest Sommelier will guide you through a tasting of different sparkling wine styles, explaining what makes each unique and why they pair so perfectly with cheese. Explore the balance of salt, fat, and acidity as we taste curated cheese pairings and even enjoy a refreshing twist—sparkling wine served with sorbet! You’ll also learn how to craft a classic sparkling wine cocktail, making this class the perfect way to celebrate summer in style. Guests must be at least 21 years of age to participate. Cost is $35 per person.
