Nancy Monson, Artist, Author, & Health Coach
March 15th - 16th
Nancy Monson is a mixed-media artist with a focus on fiber and textiles who finds her most joyous moments in life when she is creating and sharing her creativity with others. She is also a freelance writer whose articles on creativity, wellness, lifestyle, travel, and other topics have been published in over 30 national magazines and websites and a health coach. She is the author of several books, most notably Craft to Heal: Soothing Your Soul with Sewing, Painting, and Other Pastimes, which explores the therapeutic benefits of pursuing a creative activity. She lectures on the connection between creativity and stress reduction, and teaches classes on the community level and at Woodloch in fiber art, collage, painting, and Zentangle® (a stress-reducing drawing technique). Her work has been shown in exhibitions at UMass Dartmouth; Silvermine School of Art; The Nest in Bridgeport, Connecticut; the Vermont Quilt Festival; and The Fuller Craft Museum in Brockton, Massachusetts.
