Dr. Shefali Patel, MD, FACOG, is a board-certified OB/GYN who specializes in the full spectrum of gynecologic care—from adolescence through menopause and beyond. In 2008, Dr. Patel transitioned away from obstetrics to focus exclusively on gynecologic care. In addition to providing routine gynecological services, she offers expert care in the management of HPV, PCOS, menopause and perimenopause, hormone replacement therapy, fibroids, dysfunctional uterine bleeding, and minimally invasive surgery. Her boutique-style practice is equipped to perform in-office ultrasounds, colposcopies, and uterine biopsies.
Beyond her clinical expertise, Dr. Patel is highly regarded by her patients for her compassion and sensitivity. She takes a holistic approach to care, particularly during the midlife transition of menopause. Fluent in English, Spanish, and Gujarati, she is committed to making every patient feel heard and supported. Dr. Patel opened her solo private practice in Westfield in 2009 and continues to operate as an independent provider. She completed her undergraduate studies at the City University of New York’s Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education in 1997 and earned her medical degree from the prestigious Mount Sinai School of Medicine in 1999.
